How To Install DOOM sounds into Wolfenstein
1. Duplicate your Wolfenstein application and call it (for example): DOOMenstein.
2. Open ResEdit (You may have to increase ResEdit's preferred size beforehand).
3. Open your copy of Wolfenstein created in step one.
4. Double-click on the csnd resource and clear resource numbers 132-135 and resource numbers 161 and 162.
5. With your copy of Wolfenstein still open, open the file "DOOM Sounds Sample".
6. Copy the snd resource.
7. Click on the window displaying the resources of your copy of Wolfenstein and paste the snd resource into it.
8. Close the "DOOM Sounds Sample" file. If you have any version except for Wolfenstein 3d™ 1st or 2nd Encounter go to step 9.
Optional Instructions for Wolfenstein 3d™ 1st or 2nd Encounter:
a. Double-click on the PICT resource in your copy of Wolfenstein.
b. Select resource #5010 and under the Edit menu, select Clear.
c. Click on the PICT resource in your "DOOM Sounds Sample" file and select Copy.
d. Click on the window displaying the resources of your copy of Wolfenstein and
paste the PICT resource into it.
9. Close the copy of Wolfenstein and make sure you answer [YES] to the SAVE prompt.
Now you are ready to enjoy a sample of just some of the DOOM sounds which are available when you register your copy of DOOMenstein.
